Craig, Colorado, is a city in the northwestern corner of Colorado with a population of about 10,000 residents. It is the county seat of Moffat County, the second largest county in Colorado. Moffat County, with a total of 14,000 residents, has an area of 4,743 square miles, roughly the size of Connecticut. Moffat County is 93 miles long and 52 miles wide and has just three people per square mile. From Black Mountain's golden aspens to rugged canyons in legendary Browns Park, the region offers diversity in landscape and is home to some of the largest deer and elk herds in North America. From the steep canyon walls of Dinosaur National Monument in the westernmost part of the county to the rolling hills of Sandwash Basin that offer motorized recreation and a home to Moffat County's wild horse herd, there is a landscape for everyone.
